Introducing our new Lending-as-a-Service logo

Many great things have happened to Rubyx this year. Highlights definitely include entering our first Lending-as-a-Service partnerships with digital platforms and banks, and raising 600K EUR in seed funding. We’re well on our way to inspire the next generation of MSME financing solutions!?

Today we’re introducing a new logo that reflects our ambitions.?

At Rubyx we all quite ?? our former logo, so why this evolution??

Let’s start by looking back at the yellow logo above, designed when Rubyx was founded by a group of data science wizards with a background in microfinance. The dark red diamond at the core of the logo was meant to represent Data Science, the richness of our offer. The grey hypercube embodied our Technology, easy to deploy. And the yellow M?bius strip represented Service Design, our guidance with respect to loan product design.?

Those three elements, Data Science, Technology and Service Design, remain essential to Rubyx. But there are more values we’d like to express.?

Embedded lending made easy

We want to emphasise that our API-driven platform makes it easy to start lending to MSMEs. And that our algorithms are easy to understand. So we chose to simplify our logo and respectfully take off its coat of yellow ribbons… the M?bius strip, that is.

AI recommendations you can trust

We don’t think our AI should replace or compete with staff. In fact only 25% of consumers would trust a decision made by an AI system over that of a person regarding their qualification for a bank loan according to a Pega study. We see it as supercharging humans with the power of accurate predictions. Recommendations you can rely on. This is why we show the robustness of our scoring analytics framework with a strong, solid outline.?

Focused on impact

Yes, we help our partners grow their MSME loan portfolio. But beyond making our partnerships a success, we want to contribute to bridging the MSME credit gap. We want to make a real impact on financial inclusion. We’ve developed our scoring algorithms and loan products to be fair and most inclusive. The red upward arrow symbolises our mission.

And that’s it, a new Rubyx logo. A visual refresh that will support us while we grow our team, expand across Sub Saharan Africa, and develop more partnerships.
