CBL & 700 Wines & Spirits, offers an impressive product portfolio of beers, wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages.
As part of our mission, we work with young adults to provide them with work experience, career development, and exposure to the beverage industry.
In the past 3 months, we've engaged 5 interns to assist with our business in Finance, Retail, and Marketing.
Our featured Marketing intern, Brittani Braynen is described by her Supervisor Markita Stubbs, Brand Manager as "an amazing intern. She was an excellent addition to the Heineken brand. She always looked for ways to enhance the brand. She was very hands-on with the execution of our events. Working with me, she found influencers who would be a great fit for the Heineken brand. We worked on many upcoming opportunities for this year."
Here's what Brittani had to say about her experience at Commonwealth Brewery Limited.
Q. What stage are you at in your career and what drew you to this opportunity at CBL?
A. The Career and Placement office at The University of The Bahamas notified me of an opportunity to work at Commonwealth Brewery Limited by email. Being at the beginning of my career, I took advantage of the opportunity to work and gain field experience with professionals.

Q. What are the main projects you worked on while at CBL?
A. During my time at CBL, I worked on several projects with Heineken, and its brand manager Markita. Happy hours in partnership with the Cruise Port, and the movie premiere of "Deadpool and Wolverine" were two very exciting projects for me.
Q. What skills/experiences have you gained from your experience working here?
A. I believe that working efficiently and productively, while maintaining a fun work atmosphere is a skill that CBL team members have mastered. This is a skill I will take with me!
Q. What advice would you share with future interns at CBL?
A. The best advice I can give them is to soak up everything the company and the people have to offer. They should also network. There is a good chance that you will see these people again when you are looking for work, so it helps when a relationship is established.
