Introducing Our CEO Challenge: A New Way to Engage and Retain Your Major Donors

At Inspired Adventures, we strive to offer innovative products to meet your organisation’s needs, which is why I am excited to introduce to you our CEO Challenge.

It’s no secret that major donors have lifted their expectations from non-profits over the years. Major donors not only want more for their money, they want to see how their donations are making a positive impact in the communities they serve.

The CEO Challenge has been developed as a way to help your organisation retain and further engage your high net worth donors by offering them more transparency (and an incredible adventure to boot!).

As part of the CEO Challenge, your organisation will invite a select group of your high net worth supporters to accompany your CEO on an adventure of your preference to discuss your current work and future programs, and learn more about the positive strides your organisation is making as a result of their donations.

Your CEO will then have the invaluable opportunity to actively steward your high net worth donors and foster a sense of community and common purpose. In return, your major donors will be able to form an unparalleled personal connection to the organisation and mission that goes beyond writing a cheque.

Through this shared experience, your CEO is then able to solidify trust by cultivating personal relationships with your major donors, and also help them further connect to what is meaningful to them. Your CEO will also gain a better understanding of their individual philanthropy goals and assist in ways to meet those goals.

Since its inception, the CEO Challenge has successfully assisted some of our key charity partners with their mission, vision and major donor relationships.

  • Taronga Conservation Society Australia’s CEO Cameron Kerr took two inspiring groups of passionate high net worth donors to Sumatra in 2016 and 2017 as part of Taronga’s CEO Challenge program. As a result, the CEO Challenge Program has raised $220,000 in funds, yielded a strong return on investment, acquired significant donations after the challenges have been completed, and helped to cultivate long-term relationships with donors and sponsors, ensuring continued support for the Foundation into the future. What’s more, the program has helped Taronga support priority conservation projects for threatened and endangered wildlife in Australia and around the world.
  • In 2018, Starlight Children’s Foundation CEO Louise Baxter took a select group of high net worth supporters to Central Australia to trek the Larapinta Trail as part of Starlight’s CEO Challenge Program. As a result, the CEO Challenge Program has raised $282,385 in funds, which is an average of $34,035 per person, and helped to cultivate long-term relationships with donors, ensuring continued support for the Foundation into the future. Best of all, the funds raised through the program will help facilitate Starlight’s Healthier Futures Initiative to brighten the lives of sick Australian kids.

If your organisation is looking for a unique way to engage with your high net worth donors, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Starlight Children's Foundation is such a great organisation. I was their magician in Brisbane for a few years. I’ll be back supporting them in another capacity one day. I tip my hat to you for doing this.
