Introducing our all-electric Ford E-Transit?

Today, we took another big step in our electrification journey with the introduction of our new, all-electric Ford E-Transit. It offers businesses zero-emissions driving and next-level connectivity, combined with the signature Transit flexibility, dealer and conversions support that our customers have trusted for over half a century.

E-Transit is a new chapter in our more than $11.5 billion commitment to electrification. In Europe, the all-electric E-Transit joins a range of electrified powertrains already on offer to commercial vehicle customers — the award-winning Transit Custom Plug-in Hybrid, EcoBlue Hybrid versions of Transit and Transit Custom, and the EcoBoost Hybrid version of our Fiesta Van.

As the industry changes rapidly, we’re integrating vehicles, services and partnerships to deliver maximum value and help our customers’ businesses evolve and thrive. 

We’ve built a full ecosystem to support E-Transit operators. We’re taking advantage of more than five decades of experience supporting Transit customers to offer a one-stop solution that encompasses charging, servicing, fleet management and conversion, to help businesses transition to electrified fleets. 

 E-Transit’s efficient and near-silent electric powertrain makes it ideal for urban operators, who need their fleet to comply with low emission zones, noise restrictions and challenging corporate sustainability goals. We knew we had to deliver these qualities without compromising productivity; E-Transit’s load area is identical to equivalent diesel-powered variants, allowing volumes of up to 15.1 m3 1 and facilitating vehicle conversion or the fitting of racking and accessories. 

We’re targeting an estimated WLTP driving range of up to 350 km 2 from the 67 kWh battery pack, offering more than enough capability to do a full day’s work for a typical urban fleet vehicle, regardless of heavy loads and challenging weather conditions. 

New connectivity features will help boost productivity, too. Our SYNC 4 3 system uses a 12-inch touchscreen and enhanced voice control for easier interaction and communication, while over-the-air updates can enhance vehicle features without time-consuming trips to the dealer.
