Introducing Open Air Concerts Summer Sessions: The New, Outdoor Live Music Event at Motorpoint Arena Nottingham

Today, ShowPlanr is incredibly excited to announce a brand-new event coming to Nottingham this summer! A joint venture between MRC and National Ice Centre & Motorpoint Arena Nottingham , Open Air Concerts Summer Sessions is the new, outdoor live music event taking place on Bolero Square at Motorpoint Arena Nottingham this summer.

With an unmissable line-up of great, sing-along tribute acts across two August weekends, this first-time event is the perfect way to relax and enjoy some brilliant, yet affordable, live music whilst enjoying the sunshine.

Chris Jenkins , Director of MRC Presents commented: "We are delighted to be working in partnership with our friends at Motorpoint Arena Nottingham to bring Open Air Concerts to the city this August. With a great line-up of shows, in this unique setting and an affordable ticket price, the Summer Sessions looks set to be an exciting addition to Nottingham's music calendar."

Across the two weekends, expect live music from incredible Blues Brothers, Frankie Valli, ELO, Meat Loaf and Cher tribute artists.

Bye Bye Baby - Celebrating Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons

Bye Bye Baby is a jaw-dropping tribute to the musical phenomenon ‘Jersey Boys’ and the timeless, iconic music of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, featuring over 30 of Valli’s greatest hits. Enjoy a night to remember with incredible four part harmonies, roof raising falsetto and energetic and stylish choreography, all backed by their excellent 4-piece band.

FRIDAY 18 AUGUST

ELO Again

Be transported back to the age of Glam Rock as ELO Again pay tribute to the beautifully crafted songs of Jeff Lynne, where you can hear Mr Blue Sky, Sweet Talkin’ Woman and more live. This is set to be an evening of unforgettable classic rock and pop songs of our generation!

SATURDAY 19 AUGUST

Believe - The Cher Songbook / Back Into Hell - A Tribute To Meat Loaf & Jim Steinman (double header)

An unmissable double-header! This back-to-back show will open with a sensational celebration of all things Cher – the hits, the hair, and the costumes from six iconic decades! Followed by an incredible tribute to the legendary Meat Loaf, featuring all the rock and roll hits – such as Bat Out Of Hell, I’d Do Anything For Love and more.
