Introducing NOW's Summer Interns
We caught up with NOW 's brilliant summer interns, Danial Z. , Rory Mullan , and Jasmine Ahsan . They revealed their highlights so far, what they are most excited about this summer and their top tips for landing an internship at NOW ??
1.???Can you tell us more about your roles at NOW??
D: I have been an intern here at NOW for four weeks working in the commercial team, specifically on the Sports Membership and Boost. I have really enjoyed how, from the first week, I have been directly involved in the work done by my team and worked on real projects.
R: I’m a Marketing Summer Intern within the Social team here at NOW. I help manage our social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Reddit, Threads and Snap. As part of this, I write copies for our posts, check over assets, schedule posts and research social media strategy and trends, among various other tasks. The role is so varied, and I’m loving my time here.
J: I’m almost halfway through my role as the PR & Brand Comms Summer Intern for NOW. I’ve gained so much exposure to both the corporate and consumer sides of PR, and I’m excited to get stuck into our upcoming campaigns. The team has been so lovely and welcoming.

2.???Top tips for those applying to be an intern??
D: The application process can seem daunting, especially if it is your first time doing interviews and assessment centres, but just try to be yourself throughout and show your personality.??
R: First and foremost, I would recommend researching the company to which you’re applying, in this case, NOW. By getting to know the company culture and ethos, you’ll be able to find out if you’re a good fit for the dynamic work environment here. This will hopefully allow you to be more successful in the interview process, as your enthusiasm and knowledge of the company will be evident. Other than that, make sure you are well-rested before your assessments and interviews; it’ll help massively.
J: Have a thorough look through all the different summer internship roles and write down any key deadlines. My biggest tips for the assessment centre are to be prepared and be yourself – make sure you know about the latest news at NOW and Sky and remember to relax so that your personality can shine through.

3.??What are your highlights so far at NOW??
?D: There have already been so many highlights over the first couple of weeks working at NOW. I have really enjoyed seeing the impressive campus for the first time, meeting the other interns and my team, and watching The Ashes on the big screen on the lawn during my lunch break.?
?R: I’ve only been at NOW for three weeks, but already there have been so many great moments. I’ve really enjoyed going into central London to meet with the agencies we work with: this is the perfect chance for networking and learning more about the different aspects of marketing. I’ve also thoroughly liked helping to grow our Threads account. This is a brand-new channel, so it’ll be really exciting to see where it goes.
?J: My highlight so far has to be the friends and connections I’ve made so far within my team and also with the other interns. Although, having our NOW meetings in the Cinema at Sky Central has been pretty cool.

4.???What's your favourite show, movie or sport on NOW??
D: While there is so much to choose from on NOW, for me, it has to be cricket. Joining NOW during this year’s The Ashes series has been particularly exciting.??
?R: I’m absolutely obsessed with sports, so NOW is a great place to be working. Regarding my favourite on NOW, I’d have to say cricket. At the time of writing, we still have a chance in the Men’s Ashes, but that might not be the case when this goes live.
?J: My favourite show on NOW is definitely Euphoria. I’m thinking of giving The Idol a watch to explore more of that universe. The next movie on my NOW bucket list is Don’t Worry Darling, I need to see what all the fuss is about.

5.??What are you most looking forward to at NOW??
D: Doing an internship at NOW is a great opportunity, and I have already learnt so much, so I am looking forward to working on as many projects as possible, learning and developing key skills, and making the most of this opportunity.?
?R: I’m really looking forward to the opportunity of working on influencer campaigns. This is not something I’ve had experience with in the past, so I can’t wait to get stuck into this vital area of social media marketing. I’m also really looking forward to helping create social media content when the Premier League kicks off again next month.
?J: I’m most looking forward to the exciting shoots and campaigns that the NOW PR team has lined up… I’m so excited to attend my first event.
6.??What is your favourite food spot on the Sky Campus??
?D: So far, it has to be The Pavilion with its range of different foods to try. Although, I don’t think I will have time to try out everything on campus in just 8 weeks.
?R: This is the toughest question of the lot. The food on the Sky Campus is absolutely incredible, there’s no two ways about that. Having said that, The Pavilion is my favourite spot – I still can’t stop thinking about the tostada I had earlier this week.
?J: 100% The Pavilion! Best. Pad. Thai. Ever. I also really like the breakfast at The Kitchen, the omelettes are super tasty and great value.
