Introducing: The Next Big Climate Plan
Evergreen Action
We are leading an all-out national mobilization to defeat the climate crisis.
This November, we have the power to keep our country on track for a brighter future—one that protects people from the climate crisis, strengthens communities, and unleashes economic opportunity for all.
To help the next administration get there, we just launched Evergreen Action Plan 2.0 (EAP 2.0)—a bold and actionable roadmap that builds on the last four years’ historic climate accomplishments.
Thanks to the climate movement, the Biden-Harris administration picked up core tenants of the original Evergreen Action Plan during their campaign. It helped them drive historic youth voter turnout and defeat Donald Trump in 2020 and set the agenda for the most impactful administration tackling the climate crisis in U.S. history. Then they used the EAP to deliver results once in office—making progress on 85 percent of the plan's action items.
Now, we're doing it again with the movement at our back. I've spent the last several months working closely with Evergreen's policy team plus over 100 climate, environmental justice, and labor movement partners and policy experts, putting in the hard work to make sure we've built the most ambitious, actionable plan we could. Check it out!
EAP 2.0 lays out a roadmap that will keep us moving forward on climate, jobs, and justice. It ensures that all communities benefit from an inclusive clean energy economy and enables both energy independence and climate security as we shift to the zero-emission technologies that science demands and the global market needs.
We are so excited that Vice President Harris, a climate champion, is ready to seize the opportunities ahead, and to present this plan in this critical moment.
I would love to know what you think. Check out the plan, and if you have thoughts, let me know by replying below.
