Introducing the New Thrive Pad

Introducing the New Thrive Pad

For decades, pain care has been reactive - relying on medication, sporadic doctor visits, and one-size-fits-all treatments that fail to address its root causes. Too often, people are left navigating their recovery alone, without the tools or support they need to heal effectively.

At Sword Health, we refuse to accept this status quo. We know how debilitating, isolating, and costly pain can be - not just for individuals, but for the entire healthcare system. That's why we dedicate ourselves to building solutions that target pain effectively- and that, as a consequence, allow our customers to save millions in unnecessary health costs.

This is why we are announcing our new Thrive Pad, a purpose-built device that unlocks the full potential of Phoenix, our AI Care Agent, and empowers our members to access the most advanced, convenient and effective solution for pain relief. Thrive Pad is a breakthrough in how we deliver world-class remote care, and it redefines what’s possible in pain recovery.

The Thrive Pad was built on top of our first-generation device, which provided critical and extensive clinical validation for Sword’s programs - namely Thrive - over the years.

After delivering hundreds of thousands of sessions, and over 500 million minutes worth of recovery time, through lots of real-world usage and member feedback, we knew we could do even better to enhance our accessibility features, easiness of use and engagement - so our members could stay on track, build confidence in their recovery and feel physically stronger. Those improvements were all brought to life in a (well, I guess you can imagine) everything but linear journey, towards shipping the new Thrive Pad.

In a nutshell, the new device includes:

?? A bigger, better screen. A 10-inch high-brightness display (previously 8 inches) for improved visibility and engagement.

?? Dual wide-angle cameras and smarter motion tracking to capture full-body movement with more precision, even at close range.

?? Dual microphones and advanced echo cancellation for crystal clear audio for seamless interaction with Phoenix, even in noisy home environments

?? A stand that just works. Redesigned for stability and ease, making setup effortless.

These changes led to a 63% increase in the cost of producing each pad, a choice we made while, at the same time, some of our competitors abandoned physical devices in favor of app-based videos (just like youtube - except youtube is free).

At Sword, we believe pain care deserves more: it deserves the deep involvement between human clinicians, AI and purpose built software to come together and provide tailored solutions to each patient and their specific needs. And we’re walking the talk.

Thrive Pad is being rolled out to our customers and users, and already transforming their lives. We are taking a phased approach to ensure we can monitor its impact, fine-tune the experience, and scale it the right way - because when it comes to improving people’s health, getting it right matters.?

This is our commitment to achieving a pain-free tomorrow, not just for some, but for everyone. This is the Sword way.
