Introducing The NEST Programme

Introducing The NEST Programme

We are thrilled to announce the launch of The NEST, a 10-month incubator programme dedicated to fostering the growth of talented individuals and emerging businesses poised to become leaders in the music and creative industries which will commence in June 2023, in partnership with TYXstudios and Small Green Shoots .

This groundbreaking initiative, aimed at providing a range of benefits and professional development opportunities, will serve as a springboard for participants to develop their dynamic and self-sustaining enterprises. The NEST programme will prioritise and empower female, LGBTQ, and diverse/black-led organizations, ensuring a more inclusive and representative future for the industry.

For too long, the music industry’s narrative has been punctuated by a stark investment gap when it comes to black, female, and diverse small businesses. This inequity underscores the enduring underrepresentation of these vital communities. While commendable efforts have been made to uplift young talent and champion women in music, the lion’s share of these initiatives has been tethered to the interests of major record labels.

Our objective, however, takes a distinct path. Our focus is on stimulating the expansion of independent executives, founders, and micro-enterprises. We staunchly believe in the imperative of fostering black and diverse ownership, a cornerstone that has been historically overlooked yet forms the basis of our mission. We aim to overturn this narrative and promote an atmosphere of inclusivity and opportunity, empowering voices long underappreciated in the music industry.

With The NEST, our primary objective is to enhance diversity at the executive level of the music industry. Rather than solely concentrating our efforts within major companies, we actively champion entrepreneurship and independence as the genuine catalysts for innovation and leadership within the sector. By empowering the visionary minds and forward-thinking entrepreneurs of tomorrow, we strive to create a more inclusive and representative music business landscape.

As a member of the Tileyard community, we would be thrilled to have you participate in this programme. Please reach out to?Tehya?at Small Green Shoots to explore how you can become a part of this exciting initiative.
