One afternoon in late November 2019 we joined a community of SaaS founders and were amazed to see all of them built businesses in India and engaging with customers all over the world. They had created?playbooks designed to meet their business objectives and fulfil global standards of excellence.

We had a SaaS product which was specific to the Indian market that solved the problem of Safe Employee transportation. Our view was there was not much of a business case of expanding to other markets.

Then the pandemic struck in Mar 2020 and offices closed due to the lockdown and also due to the health and safety concerns of the employees. As with other businesses we also had a slowdown of business.

?Covid 19 lockdown was a positive for many businesses like EdTech , online retail etc , but for employee transportation it was a big negative.

What?were our options and how do we view the future?are the options to explore ?

We said let's look at fresh?ideas and scenarios of what happens during the pandemic and?post the pandemic.

For greater understanding we reached out to our clients, friends and multiple people across industries to understand how the future would pan out .

The first of the early ideas to build a pivot came from creating covid zones on a map where employees could geo code where they were so an organisation could understand which red/orange/green zone their employee was located , which then led to building a health questionnaire which employees could answer if they were safe , wanted any help from the organisation etc .

A client during a zoom call suggested building a seat booking tool as we had a rostering feature in our transport solution as managing seats in the office would be challenging for them as they had scaled up on manpower and wanted to keep the same facility .

As we showed clients our new solution , many helpful prospects suggested to us how we could improve our solution and weighing on each one of the valuable feedback we now have Neoffice -?A complete suite of office facility features - Seats , Meeting room , Parking slot booking , Cafeteria booking, visitor management etc plus also our core product employee transport automation

This would be required by organisations transitioning to a hybrid work model for their employees.?

We built one version and asked if this was world class and then, not happy we rebuilt another version and so on and we believe we have the right product created now.

With hybrid becoming the new normal of how the world looks at work and with good traction of Neoffice in India we now embark in baby steps .... to explore other markets as this problem of managing office assets would be faced by all companies worldwide.
