Introducing MySalesCoach – giving sales teams the coaching they deserve

One of the things I like best about leading Sales Confidence is being able to announce new partnerships with world-class organisations in the SaaS industry. Some of our brilliant partners include Salesloft, Air Marketing and Cognism. Today, there’s a new name to add to the list – MySalesCoach.
I’m excited to announce our new partnership with MySalesCoach through their Founder and CEO, Kevin Beales. I’ve known Kevin for many years and it’s great to link up with him in this way. There’s such a massive synergy between MySalesCoach and Sales Confidence that it’s sure to benefit you, the Sales Confidence member. In this article, I’ll tell you more about them.
Kevin’s story
I met Kevin some years ago when he was the Founder of Refract, the sales coaching platform. Kevin started Refract to solve the challenge of sales coaching: that managers understand the impact of coaching, they know how it moves the dial, 74% of organisations regard it as the very top priority of frontline sales managers, but managers only spend 5% of their time actually coaching by their own admittance (less if you ask their teams). The problem with coaching is that it’s not time-critical. When everyone’s busy, coaching can always wait until tomorrow.
Refract provided high-quality moments that managers could use as coaching opportunities. However, Kevin soon realised that it couldn’t solve the problem of a manager’s time, so they pivoted the value proposition towards insights, enabling salespeople to learn techniques from the recordings of top performers. Eventually, Refract was acquired by Allego in 2020.?
Kevin’s next move is to finally solve the challenge of sales professionals missing the coaching they deserve and need. Since the days of Refract, this problem has actually gotten worse, with more remote teams, less experienced salespeople and higher expectations. There are also further challenges, such as that managers may not know what good coaching looks like, or the friction between being a manager and a coach, that salespeople may not want to reveal their innermost vulnerabilities to their manager.
The solution? MySalesCoach.
What is MySalesCoach?
MySalesCoach is a subscription-based platform offering 1:1 personal sales coaching. All the coaches at MySalesCoach are experienced experts – and they’re matched to your role, needs and personal goals. For example, if you’re an AE, you’ll get a coach who has walked in your shoes as an AE before and experienced at managing and coaching AE’s. Group sessions are based around narrow topics, so you can get super-granular. For example, MySalesCoach runs group sessions on LinkedIn voice notes, using incentives to get the most from your team and breaking down cold calls.
