Introducing mEYEstro, the free automated outcomes software for refractive surgery that will revolutionize the way you analyze your outcomes

Developed by Doctors Mathieu Gauvin, B. Eng., PhD , and Avi Wallerstein, MD FRCSC , mEYEstro will be a valuable addition to researchers or clinicians looking to understand their surgical outcomes with corneal or IOL-based refractive surgery.

mEYEstro is incredibly user-friendly and automatically generates standardized graphs for refractive surgery outcomes as prescribed by JRS, JCRS, and Cornea Journals. Our software article was recently published in BMC Ophthalmology, which you can read here .

With mEYEstro, clinicians, surgeons, and researchers can display detailed reports of refractive surgery outcomes with automated statistical analyses, all in a one-page format that is easy to understand and compare, as shown below.

Graphs that are automatically generated by mEYEstro from the provided Trial 1 dataset. The first simulated trial dataset (Trial 1) includes two Excel files (Group A and Group B) and investigates the outcomes of a laser vision correction contralateral eye study comparing two excimer lasers in hyperopic eyes with astigmatism.

mEYEstro provides a valuable resource for researchers to report their outcomes in a standardized way, making comparisons between studies easier. It also offers a way for clinicians and surgeons to analyze and monitor their outcomes, which could lead to improvements in patient care and safety.

The software generates each graph separately for PowerPoint presentations, making it perfect for sharing with colleagues at ophthalmology meetings such as AAO, ARVO, ASCRS, ESCRS, etc.

So, what are you waiting for? The software can be downloaded here , and a tutorial is available here . For more information on our research and software, please visit our research unit website https://www.refractivesurgery.ca/

Please feel free to share mEYEstro with your department or anyone you feel can benefit from its use. Let's revolutionize the way we approach refractive surgery outcomes together! ????
