Introducing Marie Courtin’s Extra Brut Cuvèe Concordance ‘2016’

Dominique Moreau named her estate after her grandmother Marie, who she describes as a “woman of the earth”. ?Starting with the 2005 vintage, Dominique has set out to produce a series of single-vineyard, single-vintage, and single-variety champagnes that honor that commitment to the land by utilizing exclusively ?biodynamically grown grapes that are farmed and elaborated with meticulous care.

Production of this particular no-sulfur cuvée is reserved for special years when Dominique deems the fruit to be of an impeccable quality. Hence the name ‘Concordance’-everything must be in perfect alignment for this cuvée to exist. Dominique’s devotion to her craft results in champagnes that are electric and chiseled, with an intense brininess and minerality driving their core. Marie Courtin is an exciting estate with a skyrocketing reputation. However, due to Dominique’s discerning standards, production is extremely limited.
