Introduction

Today we feature the story of Leo Richard.

Leo is a meditation teacher, who helps high-achievers grow self-awareness, time freedom and relationships without sacrificing health, wealth or self.

Q. What events led you to this path and how long have you been in business??

A. I actually wrote about my path in an article which can be found here (https://www.dhirubhai.net/posts/dlrichard_i-lost-my-home-i-lost-my-car-i-lost-my-activity-6914572718491271168-g39C?utm_source=linkedin_share&utm_medium=member_desktop_web) but in summary:

  1. When I was 17, I was getting into a lot of trouble as a teenager. One of my friends died of a drug overdose. It made me question the point of life and what it is all about.
  2. Since I can remember I was always intuitive and used it for different purposes. I found that it also caused me a lot of headache and heartache. I went on a search to find tools that help with my intuitive capabilities after the age of 17.
  3. At the age of 34, I did a complete life overhaul and reset. Lost everything except my integrity and $422 in my pocket. I started rebuilding my life using the skills and tools I’ve learned and now operate Peace Compass from this place of integrity, respect and next steps.

Q. How did you come up with the name for your business??

A. With the above story coupled with a penchant for global peace.

I’ve been at the centre of 2 very large movements to create peace in the world.

Q. Who has been your biggest loudest cheerleader on your journey?

A. My mom and dad have been my biggest cheerleaders.

Q. What is the one biggest challenge you have faced so far and how did you overcome it?

A. Staying committed is probably the hardest challenge. I’ve tried to go on sabbatical - so to speak - a few times. I keep coming back to what I’ve been doing for over 20 years even if I try and leave the field.

That has cost me a lot of time and momentum. To overcome - to just recommit.

Q. Did the pandemic affect your business in anyway i.e. did you have to implement a Plan B due to Covid-19?

A. I actually course corrected a few months prior to covid and moved online. Something was telling me that I needed to shift out of a physical location and I did.?

Q. What are your top 3 goals for the future??

  1. Get my private pilot’s license and buy a plane.
  2. Get my app version 2 launched for my global peace initiative and online spiritual school.
  3. Homeschooling my 3 year old.

Q. Name one thing that you currently do to go above and beyond your clients’/customers’ expectations.

A. Currently, the 20 minute weekly accountability calls are a bonus that I added into my program.

Q. What was the best advice you ever received and who gave it to you??

A. My dad told me to "Look out for number one."

Q. How do you spend your free time?

A. Meditation, skiing, running, with my daughter.

Q. What is something most people do not know about you?

A. That I am a Clairvoyant and that is actually what I teach people to do - have vision.

Q. What advice would you offer to anyone thinking of becoming a full-time entrepreneur?

A. Get your energy right!

Q. You also found time to create a workshop, can you tell us what led to its creation?

A. I wanted to create greater and greater impact, and felt this was the perfect way to do so.

Peace is so needed! I love 'out of the box' thinking - who would have thunk to create a whole entrepreneurial model on peace (but then again, I do remember MindValley - so yeah there's precedent.) I love the entire interview and I'm about to read your other post now too, Leo ?? Richard. Again, great article Gale E Weithers!
