We excited to welcome new artist Kate rose to George Thornton Art

Kate combines her passion for the natural world with the energetic brushstrokes and techniques of contemporary painting, blurring the lines and bridging the gaps between traditional wildlife portraiture and spontaneous, lively abstract expressionism. In doing so, Kate captures the life, character and movement of her subject as well as drawing upon the beauty and essence of the area in which they inhabit through her choice of colour.?

In her recent collection, The Savannah Series, Kate celebrates the natural, earthy and golden tones of Africa’s grasslands and dusty plains with splashes of colour woven throughout each painting. By working at such a large scale, Kate creates impactful and powerful pieces of art, highlighting the importance of wildlife and the natural world in today’s challenging environmental era.?
