Introducing, Jon Bass, new Head of Sales and Partnerships
With an extensive background immersed in the world of supply chain tech, the last five years of which have been dedicated to specialising in freight technology with SaaS start-up firms, it’s easy to understand why we’re excited to welcome Jon Bass on board as our new Head of Sales and Partnerships.
Based in London, Jon will be working alongside our world-class team to lead the charge and develop meaningful partnerships as Azarc? drives forward into its second period of extensive growth. Having spent time with some of the world's largest multinationals including K+N and Agility, Jon has more than earned his stripes in the global upscaling of businesses such as in his most recent role (Head of Business Development for EMEA) at Logixboard .
With the macroeconomic picture remaining uncertain, material impacts are being felt across the industry; margins are tight for businesses everywhere. With businesses facing the challenge of knowing where to invest and what technology to invest in to safely navigate the current challenges, Jon’s experience and insight into where businesses should be prioritising that investment will be priceless for Azarc?.?
“I believe that companies should be investing in technology, of course, but the priority should be given to cost-reducing and efficiency-improving technology and that is where Azarc? can be really helpful for its customers going forward,” explains Jon.?
“Azarc has done fantastically well to get to a point where they can count an iconic brand, such as 英国电信集团 , as one of their customers. BT clearly values and trusts the team here at Azarc?, which is a huge validation of what has been accomplished up to this point. Everything achieved to date demonstrates that the business has a very exciting future,” adds Jon.?

“The supply industry is experiencing some crucial challenges at the moment and therefore there is a huge focus on increasing efficiency and reducing cost to serve businesses from an operational standpoint. Successful SaaS businesses in this space, in my experience, focus on solving those tangible problems for business. The automation of manual processes is such a vital problem to solve, I see this as an area where Azarc? can see real success.
“We are in the very favourable position of being able to create meaningful change to a business's supply chain processes with minimal interference or large upheaval. The time-to-value for our prospective customers is very quick and the adoption and ease of use will give us a unique position within the market. Now, I'm excited to look to the future and how we help many more customers solve some of their pain points.”
With a true passion for the traditional freight industry and emerging technology that is genuinely helping to drive innovation in the space, we’re eager to see Jon flying the Azarc flag, positioning us to support a large customer base and supercharge our growth.
Notes:
Jon joins Azarc? from Logixboard, a Supply Chain SaaS start-up that has created a white-labelled customer platform for traditional freight forwarders to compete against their more tech-enabled competitors. Jon’s role as Head of Business Development for EMEA has provided priceless insights into working with freight forwarders across the region, giving him a great understanding of the challenges facing the whole supply chain market. Having started with Beacon (a digital freight forwarder) as Business Development Team Lead, the sixth employee, during Jon’s 3 years with the company he led the sales function to scale the business to 200+ people, going through Series A and Series B funding rounds, generating £41m+ revenue over 3 years from a standing start.
