Introducing Jen's Hope in Action

Today is?#SocialEnterpriseDay , a day to celebrate?#SocialEnterprise ?as a better way of doing business. I am proud to have been leading an award-winning and life-changing social enterprise for ten years (I can't believe it's ten year!). To mark ten years and my love of social enterprise, I wanted to take a moment to share some exciting news with you. As the CEO of Solutions for the Planet, I've decided to jump on the LinkedIn newsletter bandwagon. Why, you ask? Well, let's chat about that!

First of all, let me just say how much I love LinkedIn. It's an incredible platform where professionals from all walks of life come together to network, share ideas, and inspire each other. If you're reading this, chances are you're one of those fantastic individuals, and I'm truly honoured to have you in my network. Whenever I speak to other social entrepreneurs about the most effective platform for building meaningful connections I shout from the rooftops about the value of LinkedIn.

So, what's the deal with starting a LinkedIn newsletter? The answer is simple: I believe in the power of connection and knowledge-sharing. It’s what Solutions for the Planet is built on. Our mission is to bring young people and businesses together to share knowledge and skills and shape a more sustainable world, and I know there are so many of you out there who share this vision. Change can only happen when we all work together, and I want to facilitate meaningful conversations and collaborative opportunities among us.

Here are a few reasons why I'm eager to start this journey:

Sharing Our Vision: I'm constantly amazed by the innovative, creative, and passionate individuals I meet in this industry. By launching a newsletter, I want to spark conversation, bring our community closer and ensure that our shared vision for a better planet is at the forefront of our discussions.

Learning and Growing: They say that learning never stops, and I couldn't agree more. Again, this is a core principle that we nurture at Solutions for the Planet. Our Business Partners share their knowledge with the students and young people we work with, but the young people themselves have so much to teach our Business Partners and all of us. Through my newsletter, I want to share some

of this learning, and open up conversations to keep it going on this platform!

Encouraging others: At Solutions for the Planet, we are passionate about building partnerships to promote sustainability, STEM careers (science, technology, engineering and maths) and employability skills. I have learnt so much from our business partners, schools, young people and wider network and I want to share some of this information in the hope that other businesses and individuals will join us on our mission to diversify the STEM industry and strive for a sustainable world.

So, what can you expect from my LinkedIn newsletter? Well, think of it as a blend of informative articles, inspiring success stories, industry insights, and thought-provoking discussions. I'm open to suggestions too; after all, this newsletter is about what you want to read and discuss.
