Thank you so much!

As we have seen Home Assistant includes tons of integrations that allow to control and manage a huge number of devices.

Since my HP printer supports the Internet Printing protocol, I've started using the Internet Printing Protocol IPP Integration to have the following data always available on the Home Assistant dashboard:

  • Printer's state
  • Remaining ink levels

In this article I want to take you through on how to to it.

Software configuration

  1. Home Assistant. I'm currently running version?2022.11.5

Home Assistant code (yaml) / procedure

  1. Take a look at the following video in which I'm going to show how:

  • to add and configure the Internet Printing Protocol IPP integration
  • to add and configure a conditional type entities card to be displayed on the Home Assistant dashboard only when the printer is turned ON and then become available

Thank you for reading and watching. ?? I hope you have enjoyed this article about the Internet Printing Protocol Integration and video too.
