Becky, we’ve been buzzing about this series for a while now! Can you share what inspired us to launch ‘High Flying Marketing’?

Absolutely, Olivia! The idea really came from our commitment to transparency and collaboration. At Youbee Media, we’re a close-knit team with a wide range of skills, but we’re also very aware that we can’t be experts in everything. That’s where our extended network comes in—our partners are hand-picked, tried, and tested professionals who share our values. We wanted to create a platform to highlight their talents and show our clients the strength of the partnerships that power Youbee Media.

So, where do Youbee Media fit into this wider team, and why should a client choose to work with us?

As a solutions agency, our primary role is to listen and understand what our clients need to achieve their goals. We offer a variety of services in-house, but sometimes reaching those goals requires bringing in specialised expertise. That’s why we collaborate with experts in areas like photography, video, influencer marketing, paid media, and more. Essentially, Youbee Media becomes your strategy partner, managing all the elements necessary for your business to grow and succeed.

What unique benefits do Youbee Media bring to a project?

We’re all about relationship-building and strategic collaboration. Our approach is highly agile—first, we focus on understanding the client as deeply as possible. The more we understand, the better we can support them. Plus, it makes our work much more fun!

Does that mean Youbee become experts in the sector our clients work in?

Well, not really no – that would be incredibly difficult, and we don’t want to be sector-specific – so that makes it even harder. Our role in marketing what a client does is to understand what they do, see where they work and their approach, but then translate their industry, product or service into something that makes sense to their audience. So rather than being experts in the different types of metal involved in underground pump systems, different levels of insurance, or a school’s academic calendar – our role is to speak to the consumer. We curate messages and images that will appeal to them, support an emotional or rational reaction and drive an action.

How do you pick who to collaborate with on projects?

It all comes back to relationships. Just like we get to know our clients, we also invest time in getting to know our partners—what projects they’re passionate about, what lights them up, and how they approach their work. This allows us to match the right expert with the right client. Whether it’s a photographer, a website developer, or a PR specialist, we ensure that the fit is perfect for the client’s needs and budget. This approach not only saves time but also ensures a more fluid and cohesive project outcome.
