Figaro Engineering Inc., established in 1969, is a leading manufacturer specialising in sensor technology. As one of the world's largest producers of sensors by volume, Figaro is recognised for its high-performance, durable solutions used across various industries, including air quality monitoring, environmental sensing, and industrial applications.
With a strong focus on innovation, Figaro develops advanced sensor technologies such as Metal Oxide Semiconductor (MOS), catalytic, electrochemical, and Non-Dispersive Infrared (NDIR) sensors. These solutions are widely trusted for their precision, reliability, and adaptability to diverse applications.
Active Components is the sole distributor of Figaro sensors in New Zealand, providing customers with cutting-edge sensor solutions backed by proven performance and quality.
CDM7162 - Non-Dispersive Infra-Red (NDIR) CO? Sensor
The CDM7162 CO2 module uses a compact NDIR CO2 sensor, featuring excellent performance characteristics, including high accuracy and low power consumption. Dual IR detectors and Figaro's proprietary signal processing technology achieve stable long-term operation and output. Every module is individually calibrated and provided with a UART and I2C digital interface. The CDM7162 module is designed for simple integration into a user's products. It can be used in a wide range of applications such as ventilation controls for the improvement of energy savings and to assure a good indoor climate.

TGS5141 - Ultra-small CO Sensor?
Figaro’s TGS5141 is a battery operable electrochemical sensor which uses a unique electrolyte that eliminates the need for a water reservoir. By eliminating the water reservoir used in TGS5042, the comparative size of TGS5141 is reduced to just 10% of TGS5042. With its ultra compact size, this sensor is ideal for size-oriented applications such as portable CO detectors, small residential CO detectors, and multi-sensor fire detectors. OEM customers will find individual sensor data printed on each sensor in bar code form, enabling users to skip the costly gas calibration process and allowing for individual sensor tracking.
