Introducing Emplify

How can we add more value as insurance intermediaries?

This was the question that we were pondering for a large chunk of 2018. Specifically, in the group insurance sub sector of business insurance, what could we do to add more value to our clients, what problem could we solve that made us a much more attractive option?

We’d dabbled with the idea of an insurance management platform, and found that there were still problems with take-up and engagement. There were still problems where clients forgot to process new employee additions on time(particularly severe problem in growing companies). There were also companies with complex employee premium contribution splits, who were still using excel and manual communication to manage the employee contributions and adjusting payroll.

The biggest pain point, however, was cost. Due to the rising costs of healthcare, employee benefits expenses(specifically insurance) were also rising steeply year after year. Companies are always looking at ways to control those costs, and we needed to find a way to help them do it.

We looked at all the problems that we could solve, and then decided to solve them all. And so, Emplify was born.

What is Emplify?

It’s an integrated employee benefits/payroll/HRMS platform. With Emplify, you get:

1.      Comprehensive Payroll Management: A simple, intuitive payroll system that tracks income tax(along with employee declarations), loss of pay, reimbursements, and more! It also generates payslips(customised with your company logo) for all your employees.

2.      Customisable salary structures: On Emplify, you can create custom salary structures for each of your employees, and Emplify tracks payroll and taxes accordingly!

5.      Customizable leave policies: Define customisable leave policies, and have them assigned on a team, designation or employee level.

6.      Expense reimbursements: Have employees file expense reimbursements and get it approved by manager or admin(as set by you). The approved expenses are accounted for in payroll

7.      Customisable expense policies: Set custom expense reimbursement policies, and assign it by team, designation or at an employee level. Each expense can have custom limits(actuals/no limit, annual, daily or monthly) and you can also choose who has to approve the expense. A scanned copy of the bill is also saved for your records.

8.      Group insurance: manage your Mediclaim policy through emplify, and make additions/deletions, employee premium contributions, claim tracking, TPA card download and network hospital accessibility seamless! You can manage group health, group personal accident, group term life gratuity, and group travel policies with us.

9.      Income Tax declarations: Have your employees fill out a simple income tax declaration form, and the payroll system automatically adjusts tax deducted based on the inputs. You can set a time of the year for your employees to send you physical proof of declarations, and any edits to the eligible deduction will reflect in payroll before financial year closing.

10.  Employee portal: an intuitive portal for employees to manage their documents, taxes, leave requests, expense reimbursements, and group insurance.

11.  Statutory compliance: Keep track of all your statutory compliance obligations through Emplify, whether it is TDS related, PF related, form 24Q, 26Q and more!

12.  Security & Access Control: Get your organisations records and data protected by best in class encryptions, and also controlled by strict, module-level user access guidelines. You can also set an IP filter, so that the admin functions are only accessible when the user is connected to the office network.

13.  Support: not only do you get dedicated support to manage your platform, emplify also has claim support teams for all group insurance requirements

How much does it cost?

Emplify is free, provided you take your group health policy with us. If your firm has already renewed for the year, no problem! Sign up with us, and we’ll onboard you onto the platform, allowing you to use it until your policy renewal rolls around again.
