I’m excited to formally introduce my new growth consultancy, edge.?
Why now?
I’m the ex-Chief Growth Officer of Crowdcube, Europe’s largest private investment platform where I spent 8 years supporting its growth into a category defining brand.
From modest revenues and fringe-like acceptance for the concept, Crowdcube went on to raise £1Bn+ for 1,000+ companies. As the business grew and management responsibilities became the priotiy, I naturally moved away from working directly with founders and delivering world-class campaigns; the core reason I joined.
Scaling a business is hard. It requires grit, determination and resilience and razor-sharp focus. You have to wear many hats and keep multiple plates spinning. I plan to channel my experience of working with some of Europe’s most exciting startups and scaleups to help [young businesses] unlock growth.
What does edge. do?
edge. partners with early stage businesses to achieve their commerical goals with services focused on go-to-market strategy, sales and fundraising.
From cleantech to coffee, I have had a front row seat to some of the best growth stories of the last decade.
So how does it work?
Fractional CCO/CGO
I will join the team on a short fixed term contract to deliver a specific commercial/growth objective. Take current client, WineFi. As acting CCO on 1-2 days/week, I’m there to build out their B2B go-to-market in support of unlocking a Seed round later this year. I’m pleased to say after month one we have closed our first two contracts - announcements coming soon!
Equity Crowdfunding
Equity Crowdfunding doesn’t need to be hard. As VP Campaigns, I scaled Crowdcube’s campaigns team during the bull market of 2021 and most recently as CGO, re-built the platform’s investor marketing proposition. At edge. my role is to compliment Crowdcube’s commitment to your campaign and make sure your precious resources are focussed in the right areas to maximise the campaign’s success. Current clients include Tallow & Ash and Naked Sprout.
Fundraising
I’ve seen thousands of pitch decks and have a clear idea of what early stage investors are looking for. Looking to tighten up your deck or not sure how or who to approach for funding? Get in touch.
