Introducing EazyHacks - Mini Hack Series

Introducing EazyHacks - Mini Hack Series

Hey everyone..!! This is a long term goal of mine to come up with a dedicated Hands On series -- Eazy Hacks..! You all might know what a hackathon is - creating some projects on some topics and winning prizes..!! We often forget the goal of these hackathons -- to learn to build new stuff, and get rewarded for learning, not build for money..!

Introducing Eazy Hacks - A Mini Hack Series

Most of you might know of my upcoming Hands On System Design Platform - Eazy Develop (waitlist is still on, limited seats left for Beta). On the same notes, I am starting this mini hack series known as Eazy Hacks, which will focus on core learning areas and not creating the whole end-to-end product..!

Each Hack would be based on a particular tech stack, for eg -

  • Using Elasticsearch for auto-complete
  • Using MongoDB Change Streams / Triggers for automated workflows
  • Using Redis PubSub to create a chat app
  • Building a Kafka Producer and Consumer for some async processing
  • and much more..!!

Rather than long hackathons, this would be focusing on a 6 hour to a weekend timeframe, where you can quickly learn something new and come up with an interesting way to implement it..!

Our Goal for Eazy Hacks

The goal of this series is to learn new concepts and stacks every single time and come up with creative ways to use them..! No one is asking to create a full fledged app, any UI or any mobile app..! All we need is to come up with a creative solution with the mentioned stack, and give a recorded demo, even on terminal or on postman..!

We will focus more on learning the concept, rather than learning to build a working product.

Perks and Prizes

Obviously, everyone needs motivation to build and learn new things..! If the learning isn't already enough, we would have cash prizes as well as swags for you in each single hack..!!

Where, What and How?

The series would be hosted on my platform Eazy Develop as and when available, but we would be starting the series from my newsletter and LinkedIn events only..!! Do not forget to Subscribe to this newsletter of mine, so that you don't miss any event..!!

You can also click on the Bell icon on my profile for extra security..!!

The first hack would be coming up this Friday, and yes it would be focused on Elasticsearch or MongoDB..!! So do go and read my existing Elasticsearch articles in this newsletter series, as well as check out MongoDB documentation (CRUD is easy, read about aggregations..!!)

Public Ideas are Welcome

If you have an idea for a mini hack, which can be learnt and completed in no more than a weekend, do reach out to me on LinkedIn..!!

Sponsors

If any company is interested to sponsor these Eazy Hacks, you can contact me personally. We are not looking for any marketing companies or any branding companies, whereas looking specifically for technical companies so that participants can be directly engaged with you for hiring needs as well as learn your tech stack's concepts..!
