Introducing the Dukhni Amal Project: A Journey Beyond Fragrance

For as long as I can remember, our family’s love for fragrances has shaped who we are and what we do at Dukhni. Five generations of creating beautiful scents rooted in Islamic tradition has been our legacy, but recently, something within us started to shift. We began to feel that we could do more than just sell fragrances—we wanted to make a more meaningful impact in the world around us.

That’s when the idea of the Dukhni Amal Project took shape. "Amal" means hope, and this initiative is exactly that: our hope to bring a little light to those who need it most. For some time, this project has been a topic of discussion within our team, a quiet but persistent thought in the back of our minds. We knew we wanted to give back, but it took time for everything to fall into place. Now, I'm proud to say, it’s no longer just an idea—it’s happening.

Through the Dukhni Amal Project, a percentage of every purchase made will go directly to those facing hardships, whether it’s food insecurity, lack of access to education, or medical aid. It’s a small but powerful way to ensure that when you choose Dukhni, you're also choosing to help others. While the project focuses primarily on supporting Islamic communities, who often face challenges like poverty or displacement, it’s a cause that transcends borders.

Personally, this project means a great deal to me. It feels like we’re finally taking a step towards something we’ve always wanted—to contribute in a more meaningful way. It’s not just about fragrances anymore. Each bottle, each box of bakhoor now holds the potential to bring AMAL, bring hope, and that is a feeling I can’t quite put into words. There’s a sense of pride and responsibility that comes with this, knowing that what we’ve been building over generations can now contribute to the lives of others.
