Introducing DotConnectHer Digest: Redefining Networking for Solo CEO Women

This newsletter, formerly known as The Social CEO, is now DotConnectHer Digest! This change isn’t just about a new name; it’s about evolution and embracing the power of connections. After a lot of conversations, I'm realizing that traditional networking is not working for women. There are three hidden challenges that consistently slow our progress and success:

  1. Loneliness: Running a business by yourself can be lonely, especially without a strong support system to keep you feeling connected.
  2. Lack of Support: Finding reliable, genuine business support isn't as easy as you think. Without a trusted network, solo CEOs often struggle to access the advice, mentorship, and collaboration we need to succeed.
  3. One-Sided Conversations: Wasting time and energy on superficial conversations and sales pitches rather than opportunities to build real connections is flat out frustrating. Genuine dialogue and mutual support are essential for growth, but too often, networking feels transactional and hollow.

While networking is necessary for business, it often falls short for these go-getters. These dynamic women want networks that generate referrals and opportunities organically. Nurturing your network is a long-term strategy requiring consistent effort, but makes networking feel natural and rewarding. Isn't that what women want?

Why DotConnectHer?

DotConnectHer is a movement that empowers more women to be well-connected and have access to the support they need when they need it.

  1. Connecting the Dots: The focus is on making meaningful connections between ideas, people, and opportunities. By cultivating genuine relationships, solo CEOs can maintain and sustain a strong, supportive network.
  2. Empowering Women: My mission is to elevate the value, voice, and visibility of women, especially BIWOC solopreneurs. I believe in the power of diverse perspectives and am dedicated to amplifying the impact of these incredible women.
  3. Nurturing Networks: I am committed to building sustainable, supportive communities where women can thrive together. Through DotConnectHer, I've created a community for genuine connections, mentoring, and mutual growth.

I'm excited to continue this journey with you. Share your thoughts on the new name or spread the word about DotConnectHer Digest if you find value in strategic networking and community building. Together, we can build a network that works for women.
