Introducing the Cloudprinter.com Print Engine Chart

At Cloudprinter, we have a deep appreciation for data. Data fuels our algorithms, which determine which print partner receives each incoming print order. Real-time and historical data on the print production process provide us with intriguing insights into questions such as:

  1. Which print product is experiencing the fastest growth in which market?
  2. Which print providers, with which print engines, consistently achieve the quickest delivery times?
  3. With which print engines do we encounter the highest or lowest return rates (complaints about print quality)?
  4. How many impressions (clicks) are generated per country or per print engine vendor?
  5. What is the pricing landscape for prints in various countries or regions?

As one of the leading global print platforms, we have made the decision to publish all of this data on a monthly basis. It offers valuable insights and, most importantly, real-world information derived from practical experience rather than PR, marketing jargon, or dull slide decks.

This month, we kick off with the first simple yet highly intriguing statistic: on which print engines are the orders within our network executed? Of course, there are various nuances to consider, such as seasonality and regional popularity, but in general, it provides a comprehensive overview of the key players in the online print industry.

One immediate observation in our initial statistic is a) the dominance of HP and b) the absence of Xerox. Who has taken over that print volume? Is it Canon or Ricoh? In the coming months, we will also include information on the types of products produced by each engine to provide a more comprehensive understanding.
