What is an Extension Pack?
An Extension Pack is a powerful tool that offers D4H?users pre-made templates that seamlessly integrate into their existing D4H Operations Center account. These free add-ons are designed to address specific emergency management needs, providing ready-to-use resources that enhance operational capabilities and improve situational awareness. They save you having to start from scratch, allowing you to quickly deploy specialized tools and best practices for specific incident types or industries. Each Extension Pack includes status boards, checklists, and other essential components tailored to particular scenarios, they can be used “as is” or they provide an excellent starting point to customize and adjust the templates in accordance with your organization’s own unique requirements and workflows.
Why did we create the CIMS/AIMS Extension Pack?
As more agencies and organizations adopt Incident Command System (ICS) principles, it became clear that having a tool that unifies both CIMS and AIMS would greatly simplify incident management across Canadian jurisdictions. We also saw the potential to create something with far-reaching impact, not just for Canada, but internationally.
This Extension Pack isn’t just about structure; it’s about enhancing real-time decision-making and resource management, all while keeping the system intuitive and easy to use. With the introduction of the Digital T-Card Status Board, we’ve taken a huge leap forward in how resources are tracked during emergencies, and we’re the only ones doing it.
What can you expect from the CIMS/AIMS Extension Pack?
This Extension Pack includes everything you need for a fully functional incident command system. Here’s what’s inside:
Pre-Made Staff Roles
Org Chart Templates
30+ ICS Forms
Digital T-Cards
This is where the CIMS/AIMS Extension Pack truly stands apart. Traditionally, T-Cards have been used in emergency management to track resources like personnel, vehicles, and equipment on physical boards. But in today’s digital world, we’ve transformed this system with our Digital T-Card Status Board.
This feature allows teams to track and manage resources in real-time, digitally replacing the manual T-Card process. Not only does it advance resource tracking by leaps and bounds, but it also allows for multi-sector and multi-country implementation. With the Digital T-Card, you get the perfect combination of a trusted resource management tool and cutting-edge technology, allowing teams to share updates across regions and agencies in an instant.
