"Introducing ChatGPT Mobile: Download the Android App"

Last week, OpenAI declared that the Android app for ChatGPT is now accessible via the Google Play Store. Coming months after their iOS version, it brings all the features including GPT-4 support to their Plus subscribers. Here's how you can get started:

A tweet by OpenAI revealed that the ChatGPT app for Android is accessible and it's being rolled out in phases; US, India, Bangladesh, and Brazil are only able to download it at this time with other countries getting access soon. We got our hands on this app (from Google Play Store) and were impressed with the UI which almost mirrors its iOS equivalent. And if you use desktop and mobile for ChatGOT conversations interchangeably, your chats will be stored securely across both mediums.

When using this app you can select between Free GPT-3.5 Model or Paid GPT-4 feature; though ChatGOT plugins are yet to be added to the Android version. In addition to textual input from either keyboard or copy&paste, there is voice-to-text capability - merely click on microphone button and highlight anything you tell it into text format quickly!
