INTRODUCING THE CEOLOGY, CEOSHIP RESEARCH and CEO TRAINING, EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The CEO position is the most important and most difficult position in the world. It is, strangely, also the least given support in the form of training, education, development, equipment and support.

Yes ago after doing my course in project management as part of my M.Sc, I got deeply interested in the area of organisations and their conception, set-up, leadership, management, performance and results. I started buying and reading books on organisations, leadership, management, strategy, performance management, psychology, corporate governance, teams, human performance, communication, training and others related to organisations. I started developing and offering my own training, education and development programs around organisations.

?Then I got even more interested in the top jobs of Ceoship, Top Executives, Board Chairpersons and Board Members. I discovered that there was no specific formal training, education and development programs for in CEOship, Board Leadership and Board Members and challenged myself to develop programs in those areas. I started buying and reading books in the areas including biographies of some of the world's best managers and CEOs and their researchers. I also started pursing research articles, expert conversations and publications on the CEO positions, ceo success and failure and board performance, corporate governance. I then used these to develop training education and development programs in the two areas. I called the program The Boardroom Dynamics Research and Development Program.

?Now our programs are structured into 4 categories;

?1. Aspiring X-For example, The Aspiring CEO or Board Chairperson or Board Member

2. First Time X; for example The First Time CEO or Board Chairperson or Board Member

3. New X; for Example The New CEO or New Board Chairperson or New Board Member to an Organisation

4. Seasoned X-For example The Seasoned CEO, Board Chairperson or Board Member.

5. Retired X -For example The Seasoned CEO, Board Chairperson or Board Member.

Sticking with the CEOs. CEOs at the different 4 stages face unique challenges that require certain knowledge, skills and strategies.????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

1.?? An aspiring CEO faces the challenge of figuring out how to become a CEO

2.?? A first time CEO faces the challenge of how to be quickly effective without any prior evidence-based preparation or "manual" or training program.

3.?? A new CEO to an organisation, even when the CEO is experienced, faces the challenge of how to quickly gain strategic control of the organisation and become effective as quickly as possible in absence of a prepared manuals and guidelines on how to do so.

4.?? A struggling CEO faces the challenge of how to regain strategic control of the organisatio, reverse the downward or stagnant trend and recover.

5.?? Most boards and recruiters for CEOs and Board Members do not have any evidence-based credible way of choosing the right people.

6.?? Investors in new companies and business have no evidence-based way of predicting the performance of the CEO of the new organisation.

?The result is many CEO perform below their potential and there is a high turnover at the top.
