Introducing Buildt for CI/CD Analytics

As a VP of Engineering dedicated to making decisions based on empirical data, I often find it surprisingly difficult to understand how continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes are enabling or impeding my teams. Most CI tools provide very limited metrics at the repository level, and with many teams now counting repositories in the hundreds or higher, understanding organization-level performance is practically impossible. I never understood this omission. Healthy CI/CD practices can redefine how teams deliver software and lead to improvements in quality and overall organizational agility, but without appropriate data to make informed changes and measure impacts, improvement efforts are an uphill battle.

So, I created Buildt - an analytics tool for CI/CD systems that provides scalable insights into build metrics across the organization, empowering software development teams to make data-driven cost and quality improvements to their build processes.

Buildt provides high-level dashboards that summarize overall organizational performance, making it easy to understand how key metrics are changing across teams. From there a variety of targeted reports are available that can reveal slow builds or identify build cost drivers.

And because engineering teams are incredibly busy, Buildt's monitoring and alerting can provide proactive notifications when key metrics fall below targets. Get notified when build success rates are below target thresholds, critical branch builds have been broken for too long, or build provider spend is trending unexpectedly high.
