The Bold BI AI Assistant is a state-of-the-art tool that leverages AI to help you create and customize visuals. By using natural language queries, you can generate visualizations that provide valuable insight into your data without requiring intensive technical expertise.

Key features

• Effortless widget creation: No more drag and drop. Create widgets by typing prompts like, “Show top 5 products by price,” and watch as the AI Assistant generates the most relevant widget for you.

• Interactive customization: No more scrolling down the Properties panel. Easily modify widget properties like colors and titles by using straightforward commands. Just tell the AI Assistant what you need!

• Visual creation in view mode: No need to switch back to designer mode to create a visual. With our AI Assistant, you can now create a new visual or dive deeper into an existing visual.

• Embeddable: Not only can you use the AI Assistant within Bold BI, but you can also embed it into your own applications, giving your users access to powerful AI-driven data insights without having to switch contexts.

• Flexible positioning and resizing: You can drag the AI Assistant to reposition it anywhere within the application and resize it on the fly, providing a customized and convenient user experience.

1. Attach your data source: Connect to your preferred data source (e.g., Excel, SQL) that you want to visualize.

Considerations

While the Bold BI AI Assistant offers powerful functionalities, it’s important to keep a few limitations in mind:

• Ensure your queries are based on the data available in your data source.
• Use specific filters and quotes to improve the accuracy of your queries.
• Some widget types and multivalue configurations are not currently supported.
• The assistant currently supports only one category value and one measure value per widget. Multiple values for these properties are not supported.
• The AI chat feature has been tested and is currently only available in English. Other languages have not been tested at this time.
• The AI Assistant primarily uses GPT-4o mini for creating and updating visualizations.
• The LLM model or provider is not configurable and cannot be changed.
