This week, the?Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is taking place in the South of France.?While companies like Meta, Spotify, Dentsu and WPP have set up their stalls at the beach alongside Cannes’ Croisette, Amazon made waves by choosing a 27,000 sq foot port for its debut at the festival. Amazon Ads brought in $31.2 billion in revenue for the retail and web services giant in 2021, and has added $7.8 billion in Q1 2022.?Read More Here.

In other Amazon news this week, Doug Herrington was announced as the direct replacement for Dave Clark as the CEO for Worldwide Amazon Stores. Amazon's leadership continues to shake up, with multiple other executive swaps.

Amazon also announced its new Amazon Marketing Stream, which is currently still in beta. Amazon Marketing Stream will deliver hourly performance metrics, with details such as targeting expression performance by placement and budget consumption messages in near real-time.

Amazon Leadership Changes

Doug Herrington is the direct replacement for Dave Clark as the CEO for Worldwide Amazon Stores. Two of Amazon’s most senior Black executives are departing, leaving Amazon without any Black leaders on its senior leadership team. Alicia Boler Davis, the senior VP who oversees Amazon’s fulfillment operations, and David Bozeman, the VP overseeing its trucking operations, are both leaving Amazon. Introducing Amazon Marketing Stream (Beta)

Amazon has launched the Amazon Marketing Stream (Beta) which delivers Amazon Ads campaign metrics and information to advertisers’ or integrators’ AWS accounts. Amazon Marketing Stream will deliver hourly performance metrics, with details such as targeting expression performance by placement and budget consumption messages in near real-time. Other campaign data sets will be available for subscription in the coming months.
