No matter how intelligent OpenAI's ChatGPT was, I was so biased the first time I used it to respond to various queries since the AI tool never provided references to the responses it provided. Nonetheless, I was intrigued by its capacity to respond to challenging questions in a knowledgeable and approachable manner.?
On the other side, I kept thinking about how helpful this tool would be if it referenced its responses so that users could learn more about what it provides.?
How ChatGPT works?
When I asked ChatGPT how it works, the tool gave the following answer:
If you are not satisfied with the response, there is always a "Regenerate Response" button you may click to try again. In my opinion, this AI tool can search the entire web system and ultimately respond to your query satisfyingly.
But what does this mean for someone who wants to learn more and study specific subjects because AI might occasionally respond only partially to their question?
Microsoft and Open AI relationship
Microsoft signed a long-term contract with OpenAI in January 2023, involving billions of dollars in investment in OpenAI. However, when tracing the relationship between the two entities, in 2019, Microsoft gave over a billion dollars in OpenAI to assist them in continuing their research.?
Sources claim that Microsoft has spent more than $10 billion on OpenAI to strengthen its long-term partnership and accelerate the development of new AI technologies to ensure that the benefits are equitably distributed worldwide.
Microsoft's prudent view of the future of AI gives them the ability to access some of openAI's products, which has led to the initial birth of their new Bing AI search engine, a projected competitor for Google.

Introducing Bing AI Search Engine.
Microsoft launched Bing as its search engine in 2009 to take on Google, the obvious competitor. According to research, search accounts for about 60% of Google's revenue. Google's search advertising engine brought in over $224 billion in income in 2022, while Microsoft's Bing brought in $11.5 billion. In revenue generation among its competitors over the past two decades, Google's search engine has consistently ranked first. Only after the launch of ChatGPT, built by OpenAI last year in November, there was unhealthy competition for Microsoft's Bing and other search engines like Yahoo, Baidu, AOL, Ask.com, and many others.
Around 100 million people expressed interest in using ChatGPT after two months of its inception, making it the most popular tool in a short amount of time. This prompted the giant search engine Google to worry about taking its next move.
Many people think Google was unprepared for this move or that it took time to launch its AI search tool, but it was already in the pipeline. However, the fact that Google released Bard, a ChatGPT-like AI tool, in early February 2023 shows that the company has been developing a search AI tool.
The new Bing AI search engine's integration of OpenAI's ChatGPT tool technology, which adds new features to the search engine technology, poses a severe threat to industry giants like Google.
Contrary to the Google search engine, the new AI-powered search engine, Bing, offers several alternatives to your search intent, such as an automatically generated answer with sources and various websites to let you delve deeper into that topic.?
Additionally, the AI-powered Bing can search, auto-generate answers, has a chatbot, and create. It is user-friendly and easily adaptable due to its intuitiveness. The fact is that this is going to be a tremendous man-to-man competition with Google.
The new Bing is anticipated to emerge by the end of March 2023, which presents a significant challenge for tech giant Google while promoting healthy competition for these search engines.
Ladies and gentlemen, The AI war has finally begun.
