Introducing ADW: New Brand, New Vision
ADW - Connecting Air Mobility Worldwide
ADW 2026, from 10-13 March | Join the conversation #ADW
Welcome to our first newsletter, in which we’re excited to announce our official rebranding and everything that comes with it. Amsterdam Drone Week is in the past unveiling a new chapter under the streamlined name, ADW. This transformation is marked by a fresh, dynamic logo that embodies the event’s evolving role in the Air Mobility landscape. The rebranding goes beyond appearances, as ADW introduces a renewed vision aimed at fostering collaboration and innovation within the industry. Central to this vision is the formation of an Advisory Board and specialized Advisory Groups, ensuring that ADW remains at the forefront of shaping the future of Air Mobility by engaging thought leaders and experts from across the globe.
Fresh Look
As part of our rebranding, ADW has introduced a vibrant new logo that reflects the event's forward-thinking approach to Urban Air Mobility. The design features a modern look, highlighted by the introduction of ADW Indigo as the primary color, replacing the previous ADW Blue. This shift to a deeper, more dynamic hue symbolizes ADW’s bold and innovative vision for the future, creating a strong, memorable identity that aligns with the event's evolving goals and growing global impact.
Advisory Board
The Advisory Board plays a key role in guiding the strategic direction of ADW, committed to the advancement of the Air Mobility industry. Comprised of seasoned leaders and representatives from across various sectors of the industry, the board brings together a diverse range of expertise and insights.
The primary function of the Advisory Board is to provide strategic advice on issues that are crucial to the industry's growth and innovation. These issues are carefully considered to ensure they are relevant, broad in scope, and in the best interests of the entire air mobility sector. By doing so, the board helps shape the direction of ADW and ensures it continues to serve as a key resource for professionals in the field.
Members of the Advisory Board are highly experienced individuals with extensive backgrounds in air mobility. They serve as both the voice of the industry and trend watchers, keeping a close eye on emerging developments and challenges. Their expertise allows ADW to remain at the forefront of industry trends and maintain its status as a vital international platform for the air mobility community. The members are:
In essence, the Advisory Board acts as a bridge between ADW and the air mobility sector, ensuring that the platform stays relevant, innovative, and responsive to the evolving needs of the industry.
Advisory Groups
The ADW advisory groups, comprising some of the industry's most influential voices, are collaborating to shape the content and direction of ADW 2025, with a shared commitment to tackling the most pressing issues in the industry today. The focus of all groups is to move beyond theoretical discussions and concentrate on practical, ready-to-implement solutions that can accelerate the growth of the air mobility economy.?
Each month, we will introduce a new working group, bringing together experts and thought leaders to focus on key areas of air mobility.
The five expert groups, each addressing key challenges in the air mobility sector, are:
Digital Infrastructure
Digital infrastructure is vital for enabling U-Space services, Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM), and integration with Air Traffic Management (ATM) and other mobility systems. Achieving safe, open, and automated airspace for drone operations across urban and rural areas requires close collaboration among regulators, authorities, telecom providers, enterprises, UAS solution providers, and pilots. Key elements include network-based Remote ID and positioning, data-sharing interfaces between telecom and aviation, connected drone corridors, and robust cybersecurity and privacy measures.

Last week, we introduced the Digital Infrastructure Advisory Group, which will delve into how to leverage existing infrastructure for air mobility operations. Using current technologies like mobile networks and cloud services could reduce costs and speed up the widespread adoption of drones.
eVTOLs and UAS
Leading manufacturers in the?aviation and automotive sectors, along with city authorities and technology companies, are collaborating to develop innovative urban air mobility solutions. These range from multicopters and quadcopters to hybrid designs and fixed-wing vector thrust concepts. Key factors driving vehicle development include:
Rules and Regulations
The EU’s comprehensive regulations for both professional and recreational drone operators are paving the way for safer, greener flights across Europe. These rules provide clear guidance for businesses and innovators globally. The next step is to establish policies that not only add value to society but also address the evolving needs of users.
Mobility Hubs
To drive the development of smart cities, implementing digital infrastructure solutions that harness advanced technologies is essential. These solutions should enhance current transportation infrastructure, prepare it for future mobility demands, and integrate with local urban ecosystems. Our goal is to support the seamless evolution of urban transportation for public entities and communities alike.
Cities and Regions
Integrating air mobility with existing urban infrastructure requires the design and certification of vertiports that meet all standards for safe vehicle take-off and landing. When establishing new, integrated mobility hubs, it’s essential to incorporate facilities for maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) as well as charging infrastructure to ensure reliable and safe operations.
Stay tuned for an exciting month ahead!
