Introducing Abstract Creative Studio: Our Rebrand Journey

Rebranding your business has the potential to redefine your message, strengthen your brand identity and communicate your values to your ideal client.
However, rebranding isn’t as simple as creating a shiny new logo; rebranding is about the customer journey and ensuring that you don’t lose them due to misdirection.
The Customer Journey
The customer journey is something that I have been passionate about since May 2017, when I first decided to build a business that placed our customers at the heart of everything we do. Coupled with my upbringing amongst driven and ambitious family members, I knew I wanted to help other business owners to show up with confidence.
Fast forward to 2021, we thought it was time for a refresh after almost seven years. Whilst our point of difference - “we approach design from the perspective of your customer” – isn’t anything new, we wanted to redefine our message to help us promote our modern, professional and friendly approach to your business.
Sparks of Inspiration
The inspiration for our new logo stemmed from our desire to capture several elements that we felt were key to the Abstract brand, namely our natural ability to create innovative branding from the perspective of your customer.
Something which we quickly recognised wasn’t necessarily the norm throughout the branding industry, as well as the light bulb, which communicates the bright ideas that our team naturally comes up with.
Colour Psychology
After almost seven years within the graphic design industry, our brand colours have enabled us to create a strong brand presence. This has helped us to build trust with our clients as well as brand recognition, so it was particularly important to us that whilst we wanted to reflect our modern approach to design, we still kept the link to our core colours – pink, yellow and blue.
After much thought and consideration, we decided to replace the traditional printing process palette with vibrant and vivid tones following the same colour palette. You may have noticed that everything ties back to our strapline: “bright design ideas for your business”, which is why we wanted our colour palette to be bright, vivid and radiant, as these two elements coupled together help us to communicate intelligence and bright ideas.
In addition, to the above elements, there were lots of intricate details, such as the key assets, which we have created by taking a snapshot of the light bulb shape for our social media templates which helped us to create a consistent brand image.
This isn’t the only marketing collateral that has undergone a complete refresh; our website has also had its very own transformation as it was essential to our team that our customers could follow every step of the journey with ease, and of course, our avatars have been updated with modern, simplified characteristics to help reflect this.
You may recall earlier that we mentioned that branding is about so much more than a shiny new logo, which is why no detail has been overlooked throughout our rebrand, right down to our font, which has been updated with a modern lowercase style to help us communicate that our team is both friendly and approachable.
