Trello is one of my favorite management tools! It's basically a free Post-It note system where you can write any topic you'd like and sort them into categories. You can have it on your phone or desktop, and it's very easy to navigate.
On Trello, you can make boards (think of them as big Post-It notes.) And in those boards, you can create lanes or categories to place cards in (smaller Post-It notes). It's a great way to stay organized! I labeled my lanes "To do," "Working on," and "Complete," and when I'm done with something, I just move the cards around.
Trello is also amazing for group efforts! On each card, you can add members- people you want to involve. Communicating with collaborators is easy with the simple commenting system; all you have to do is mention someone a la Twitter ("@username") with your comment and they'll get notifications!
Other features include adding due dates and checklists. Checklists (similar to grocery lists) are an excellent way to keep track of your projects' progress- as you check off items, a progress bar is updated. You can also attach files from Dropbox, Drive or local files, among other sources.
If you're looking for a straightforward but fun way to manage your projects, Trello is well worth a shot. Trello's free! Try it here.
I know there are so many organization and management resources out there. What are some of your favorites?
