The Intro Post

The Intro Post

Dear Readers,

Are there any school assignments you forgot you did when you were younger? After a recent trip down memory lane, I ran across tons of old school assignments and projects including things I did in college – which was not forever ago. Anyways, this is the introduction post to a long-term writing project I have been thinking about for a while which I named,?I Forgot My Homework. This project will have me digging up old school assignments, doing some hard-core reminiscing, and adding some modern-day context in the hopes you just might learn something new. Flowers? K-POP? Parasocial relationships? Every other week I plan to drop something in your inbox, though random surprises and extras will be exclusive to my Substack subscribers.

I am calling this a project because it is exactly that, a project for exploration rather than fancy news updates. I plan to add pictures of the assignments and typed snippets of written work. I will also have video and web links for extra fun stuff. You never know where the link might go! That was an unintentional rhyme, but I liked it. Note - this is not a series of academic journal articles, even though I like those too. So…if you decide to subscribe to this project, then you are embarking on an experimental reading journey, which is how the youngins’ say,?a vibe, and I am here for it. See you online!

Sincerely,

Jarai Carter, Ph.D.
