Every Monday I'll be delivering music recommendations straight to your inbox. (Now isn't that exciting?)

But why? (What's the whole point of all this?) I hear you ask. I'll tell you why...

Possibly the worst-kept secret of the post-pandemic era is that working from home can get pretty lonely and boring. Even with furry friends by our side, the prospect of sitting at home, staring at your laptop for eight hours a day, five days a week would send even the most introverted independent workaholic crazy.

So I wanted to spice it up a little ???

One of the many benefits of working from home is that there's more time to cook (!!) ... but I'm no Michelin chef, so the idea of some sort of "recipe exchange" flopped quicker than my hypothetical souffle with the oven door wide open.

Working from home, you gain back the time you would have spent commuting to and from work. Some people would use these extra hours to schedule in a strict workout routine - I'm talking waking up at 5 AM: protein shake, egg whites, planks, push-ups, sit-ups, squats, lunges... you get the picture.

I'm lucky if I remember to do 10 minutes of yoga on my lunch break. Unsurprisingly, I concluded that the fitness influencer lifestyle was not for me.

And so, I landed on the soft feather-filled pillow of music recommendations.

Now, I am by no means a music expert, 'amateur' is even a bit advantageous. BUT - I do spend my work-from-home days, sifting through artists new (to me, at least) and old on Spotify, live performances of yester-year on Youtube, and on the rare occasion discovering some groovy mixes on SoundCloud (what is this, the early 00s?).
