Nearly 33% of employees in the U.S. are considering quitting their jobs, while 25% have actually resigned over the past six months, citing “toxic company culture†as their No. 1 reason for leaving.
Says a recent CNBC study.
We never learn. Leaders never learn, business owners fail to understand that the capital gains and growth depend mainly on the employees. It is our failure to onboard the proper leaders and fit them into the proper culture, not the other way around.
I am sure the percentage above is pretty similar in EU. In short, poorly equipped with emotional intelligence, not so wise, not so smart people leaders are responsible for the decadence and failure of so many promising projects, companies, countries, running bright future to bankruptcy. A high price to pay, mainly because of their lack of knowledge and understanding of basic and sound human emotions, interactions, freedom of act and speech.

In terms of estimative losses due to "intoxicating" culture, here's an example published by Business Wire in 2019: New data show American businesses lost $223 billion over the last five years due to bad culture . And I think that during these three years it has gotten much worse.
On the other hand, companies with a strong, validated, employee centric culture live long, thrive and as seen some grow at fulminant speed. They have teams of people, departments, driven by the same core values, same principles - to help, develop solid solutions and long-run, mutually successful relationships, good, sound business with their customers. These employees are together friends with unexhausted energy for unlimited extra miles, with happy customers who would trust them and pledge to work with them, not with other company.?
An iconic example of perennial business with a strong customer centric culture - Apple, with its Steve Jobs saying: core values should never change.?We are all aware, but just a few still abide and live by it.
Happy holidays, Happy Easter!
