The Flood Expo - https://ow.ly/OJ1aO - is the world’s leading event dedicated to the preparation and management of flooding, held at the ExCeL, London once every year. This award winning event will have over 150 innovative suppliers, 80 expert seminars, informative debates, and live demonstrations of the world’s latest and greatest flood technology.
One of those seminars will be held by Nick Fraser and he will be talking about InTouch SmartWater - Intelligent Management for Early Warning of Highway Flooding.
RCBC with Carillion Plc, InTouch and Lancaster University are using technology to monitor current silt and water levels in gullies. Maintenance is moving from a cyclical programme to a needs based approach where gullies are only cleaned when needed.
Latest developments aim to optimise cleansing to target flooding using intelligent data models combining sensor, weather and tree count data alongside other data sources to create a self-learning flood prediction solution.
