The intimacy of love

Song of Solomon 2.1-7 GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

[Bride] 1 I am a rose of Sharon, a lily growing in the valleys.

[Groom] 2 Like a lily among thorns, so is my true love among the young women.

[Bride] 3 Like an apple tree among the trees in the forest, so is my beloved among the young men. I want to sit in his shadow. His fruit tastes sweet to me. 4 He leads me into a banquet room and looks at me with love. And refresh me with apples because I am weak from love. 6 His left hand is under my head. His right hand caresses me.

7 Young women of Jerusalem, swear to me by the gazelles or by the does in the field that you will not awaken love or arouse love before its proper time.

MEDITATION: The eyes of love only have sight to observe your loved one; No matter how attractive the environment is or how difficult coexistence is, the decision to love and the commitment of love in the heart creates an armor of firmness and temperance that becomes impenetrable in the face of the subtle attacks of conformity and boring routine which daily tries to enter the loving environment of marriage. It is mistakenly said that in a couple each member must give 50 percent effort so that both complement the 100, but because they strive for love halfway when each can give everything 100 percent and as a couple produce double in love, selflessness and faithfulness? Recreation, romanticism and intimacy are the shield of love against the routine attacks of monotony. Intimacy is fundamental for the growth of Love.

Among a thousand women the Beloved is the most prominent flower in the garden and of all men the Beloved is the most desirable tree in the forest; in the intimacy of the beloved with her beloved, she enjoys the security that her husband's love gives her and the attention and subtlety that He shows her with her dedication; as delicate and subtle as deer and gazelle is love that cannot be blackmailed or forced to distill its sweet sap from the heart of the loved one. In intimacy it is where love strips its being and is not ashamed to show itself as it is before its loved one.

The Lord, our beloved redeemer, prepared the environment so that we have an intimate encounter with Him where we can, without measuring words or attitudes, open our hearts and be transparent and integral even when he already knows everything about us. Our intimacy with the Lord demands verbal communication and sincerity of heart. God takes care of falling in love with our hearts in the most subtle and delicate way as love demands.

MY PRAYER: My Beloved God, I am grateful for the wonderful ways in which you show me your love, thank you for the gesture of self-denial that Christ demonstrated on the cross for me, thank you for thinking and planning before forming me in my mother's womb, Thank you for choosing me and calling me to your knowledge; Thank you for allowing me to enjoy the love, tenderness and dedication of my wife; I pray in the name of Jesus, that you continue helping me to show my whole and transparent heart in intimacy to you and my wife, amen.
