I’ve found that the candidates who dedicate time to preparing for their interviews, even with years of experience under their belt, are the ones who consistently secure their next dream roles. If you have been in your current role for a long time, it's been a while since you have interviewed - not only that but the company you are applying won't just be seeing you - you have an hour to set yourself apart. Why Preparation Matters at Every Level

?? Top Tips for Interview Preparation and Securing Your Dream Role ??
Looking to land that dream job in property? ?? It all starts with interview prep! Proper preparation will not only boost your confidence but also set you apart from the competition. Here are my top tips to help you stand out and nail that interview! ??
1. Know the Company ?? Research, research, research! ?? Understanding the company’s values, culture, and recent projects is crucial. It shows your interest and helps you tailor your answers to what the employer is looking for. Have some insightful questions ready to ask—this goes a long way in showing your enthusiasm.
2. Practice Your Answers ??? Make sure you're prepared for the common interview questions (e.g., strengths, weaknesses, and "tell me about yourself"). Be ready to discuss your experiences, skills, and how they align with the job. Practice makes perfect! ?? Need help crafting the right answers? That’s where I come in—I’ll guide you through it! In the notebook it goes.
3. First Impressions Matter ?? Dress for success! ?? Even in today’s more casual work environments, it's always best to be polished and professional in your presentation. A confident entrance and friendly smile can make a big difference from the moment you walk in or join the video call.
4. Focus on Your Unique Selling Points (USP) ?? What sets you apart? Think about your achievements, unique skills, and any relevant experience. Make sure to highlight these in your answers and link them back to the role you’re applying for. ?? This is your chance to shine! I am a big believer in taking in a notebook, ensuring you have your key facts written down and your question list. This way you can ensure that you are not only mentioning the points you want to focus on, but also showing that you have given thought to the role/interview itself.?
5. Stay Calm and Composed ?? Interviews can be nerve-wracking, but the key is to stay calm. Remember to listen carefully, pause to think before answering, and take your time. If nerves get the better of you, it's okay—just take a breath and refocus. I never minded when a candidate asked me to repeat or clarify the question, so if you don't feel you know where to go with the answer, please just ask. If it's a two part question, break your answer down in to part one and part two. Use that notebook to make notes if you need to! You’ve got this!
