Thanks to the recent waves of layoffs and rescinded job offers, a lot of people are now looking for a new job in a very different job market than the one that existed just a few months ago, with more people competing for fewer jobs.
As someone who's hired hundreds and interviewed thousands of job candidates, I've seen really qualified talented people make some common mistakes during the hiring process that often knock them out of consideration.
These mistakes are usually very fixable, and often come down to candidates just not really understanding how the hiring process works.
To help people be better job candidates, I've asked some real hiring managers and recruiters to share as much as they can to help candidates put their best foot forward during the interview and hiring process, and I'll be sharing this advice on a blog I've launched called Career Cantina.
