About a year ago, we published an article about the pilot project on salary transparency in job advertisements in the Customer Center and IT.

What effect did disclosing the salary range have on the candidates??
As expected, candidates received the advertisement of the salary bracket very well. Many applicants appreciate openness right from the outset and find it motivating. This has a positive impact on employer attractiveness. We also saw an increase in the quality of the applications received. From this we can conclude that entering a salary range acts as a screening process before the actual application itself, making the application process more efficient and more pleasant for all parties.?

What insights have you gained from the pilot project??
During the pilot project, questions and uncertainties arose among managers and staff. To resolve these at an early stage, it is very important to communicate the advertised salary range within the team in advance. How is the salary composed and what skills/abilities are being sought after? When recruiting, people often aren’t simply replaced on a one-to-one basis, which of course has an impact on salary.??
When will this be fully introduced???
Over the course of 2023, we will gradually extend salary transparency to the entire PostFinance organization. Why gradually? This will enable us to ensure proper onboarding of business units and managers, as well as good support during launch. Over the course of 2023, we will initially extend salary transparency to all published positions according to the PostFinance collective employment contract.?
What are your hopes for the project???
By extending salary transparency to all job advertisements, PostFinance is taking another step towards equal pay for all. I firmly believe that by introducing wage transparency in job advertisements, we can increase fairness in employment conditions. A transparent remuneration system helps us to prevent any salary inequality from the outset and supports us on our path to equal pay and opportunities – regardless of gender.?
