Interview with Patrick: Unlocking high-security communication
Samsung SDS Europe
Your ICT Partner for Cloud Services, Enterprise Solutions and Digital Logistics.
Samsung SDS has a wide array of ICT solutions for businesses and governments. One of our specialties is endpoint and security solutions: with the rise of IoT and high use of technology in keeping track of business data in the modern workplace, the need has also arisen for companies to make sure said data is secure from leaking, loss, or misuse.
Today we have invited our colleague Patrick Park to tell us everything about Command, our solution for highly secure communications and mapping ecosystem for large governments and enterprises, available on cloud or on-premises.
1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about your role?
Hi, I’m Patrick, Head of Enterprise Mobility Solutions at Samsung SDS Europe?
I lead a team delivering cutting-edge mobility solutions to businesses across the European region with years of experience and expertise in the technology sector. We’re committed to building strong partnerships with our clients, partners, understanding their unique needs, and delivering tailored solutions that exceed expectations.
2. To start us off, what is Command and how does it work?
Command is a unified Command and Control platform – it assists decision makers within the Government and enterprise sectors to coordinate efficiently and effectively by communicating instantly at the highest grade of security. This includes voice and video calls, location sharing and monitoring, incident flows management and initiation, as well as functions allowing them to collaborate using the embedded proprietary messenger, across all ranks of hierarchy, according to the organizational and operational needs and assigned priorities.?
3.?What are the uses and advantages of endpoint security solutions like this one?
The main use is to allow voice and data communications in groups and private. The solution has many functionalities:
All information is embedded in the Command, Control and Coordination station, which allows the administrator to have a unified and complete field image in the theatre of operations.
The unified value proposition is future proof and very cost effective.
We also offer a lot of flexibility: the system may be installed on-premises or on the cloud, depending on the organization’s needs, in a very timely manner after project contracting. The Command, Control and Coordination dispatcher may be integrated with third party systems, SCADA platforms, and satellite IoT devices maximizing the information unification.

4.?What customers is our type of solution designed for?
Due to our flexibility and many capabilities, we appeal to a wide variety of clients, especially in governmental bodies:
5.?What gives our Command solution an edge over our competition??
Unification of all communication, data fusion, weather, health and satellite data unification in the flow management environment and the ability to automate emergencies according to standards and incident compliance.
It is also able to integrate with any third-party sensor critical fusion data in order to automate incident flows when sensor data exceed normal condition
6. What kind of pain points can our solution help resolve?
Almost any kind of security pain points can be aided by our solution, which allows for:
7. How do you see the future of Command developing?
Command may become the core system of reference for all government and enterprise customers, acquiring data from the system itself alongside existing or third party systems in order to automate processes and compliance related activities.
The system could innovate the process of daily, ad hoc?or urgent works, because voice and video communication will be just one click away.
In the expected convergence between mobile and satellite networks on a smartphone level (expected in the next Android releases),?the Command application may become the system that will offer unbreakable, uninterruptible command, control and coordination,?even outside the mobile networks ecosystem.
