Interview with Naomi Adler, Creos Business Development Specialist.

Naomi, tell us about your professional expertise and how it benefits Creos today??

I come from the circus industry, where I spent some 15 years touring with large-scale shows like Cirque du Soleil. The two have a close-knit relationship, the only nuance being that at Creos we tour installations rather than artists. We're creative without being creators. I see activations of public installations as constantly alive, a bit like a show. What I find even more interesting now at Creos is that people can touch and interact with the work rather than just being spectators.

What's your role at Creos?

I'm in the business development team that rents out public installations. I'm in charge of developing new markets, most recently the world of museums, both inside and outside their walls, and natural public parks in the U.S. to see how to animate very large green spaces with public installations.

?

Why is it important to have animation in public places?

?Especially since the end of COVID, which deprived us of the chance to get together, we have the opportunity to allow public squares to regain their central place in people's lives.? I love seeing abandoned spaces or "white frames" transformed into lively, vibrant places.

What kind of interactive installations do you rent at Creos?

Our installations generally touch all the senses, including hearing, touch, and sight. Some, like Los Trompos, are simpler, but just as fascinating and fun - and all year round. As we work with our customers, we try to select the best installation for their needs and space. In general, our installations can be adapted almost anywhere. For example, TRACES was placed for several months in a desert with wind and sandstorms, but it could just as easily live at -20 degrees in the snow.

What's the process when someone approaches you for an installation?

?First of all, it's important to say that at Creos we work to build long-term relationships. Often the relationship with the customer can take from one to six months from the start of discussions to the moment of activation. We are transparent and take the time needed to develop our collaboration on solid foundations to ensure that our customers are satisfied.? This sometimes means saying no to certain installations in certain places, if we know the result won't be optimal. We're proud to say that over half of our customers come back for other activations, so we're building for the long term.

Are there any geographical limits to how far the installations can travel?

No, there are none from a technical point of view, because our logistics and installation teams are masters of land, sea and air transport. We can also count on experienced collaborators who make our turnkey service exceptional! Creos has presented installations in a multitude of cities in some fourteen countries and several continents, including Asia, Oceania, Europe and North America. When will it be coming to your town??
