Q1. Could you introduce yourself and share an overview of your background in the switchgear industry? How has your journey led to the creation of educational content on switchgear?

My journey in the electrical industry began over eight years ago when I joined Siemens as an apprentice. Over the years, my work has ranged from managing complex, high-voltage switchgear projects to leading tendering initiatives. Now I am focusing on the medium voltage switchgear.

These roles provided me with in-depth, hands-on experience in handling critical aspects of switchgear and compliance with IEC standards, as well as working on stringent technical requirements across various projects.

This journey fueled my passion for making complex concepts more accessible, especially for those new to the field. I started creating educational content to share this knowledge with a wider audience, initially through my YouTube channel, which now has a global viewership with more than 187K subscribers and 10 million views.

My goal is to simplify switchgear concepts, making them easy to understand for both aspiring professionals and early-career engineers. The encouraging response I’ve received from learners worldwide has inspired me to continue creating meaningful, practical content in this field.

The future of the switchgear market looks promising, driven by rapid industrialization, urbanization, and the transition to sustainable energy sources. As technology advances, the demand for efficient, reliable, and digitally integrated switchgear systems is only expected to grow, presenting many opportunities for both innovation and education within the field.

However, as switchgear technology becomes more advanced, there is a pressing need for accessible information to bridge the knowledge gap. Clear and well-structured content can support professionals and students by providing them with the foundational understanding they need to keep pace with the industry. My work aims to contribute to this goal by breaking down complex topics and presenting them in an understandable, practical way. I believe this is essential for nurturing skilled professionals who are well-prepared for the demands of this evolving market.

Yes, I’ve been consistently exploring new methods to make electrical concepts more engaging and easier to grasp. Recently, I’ve focused on creating concise and practical course modules, like my course on circuit breaker control schematics and another on Low Voltage Switchgear. These modules are designed with a step-by-step approach, using simplified language, visuals, and real-life analogies, which are particularly helpful for those from non-technical backgrounds.

My courses also prioritize hands-on learning, giving students real-world applications and enabling them to understand theoretical knowledge in a practical context.
