Interview with Jenne
After college I was recruited into the Marine Corps where I worked in multiple divisions. I was mentored through the process, and learned as much as I possibly could between deployments. I pushed my limits of knowledge under this guidance, and became confident in my skills and abilities. I gained a mastery of data integration, mentoring and providing guidance to junior Marines, and then I took that knowledge and created my own company. When I left the military, I launched my own Cyber Security company. It took awhile for the company to gain traction. It was a big transition to go from the military to being a small business owner.
The growing pains were rough in the beginning. I had to learn the skills to market my business, find clients, and become profitable. I had to learn how to effectively communicate to market executives to be heard and have the respect to demand attention. That was hard after being in the Marine Corps where it was ingrained into you that you do not speak unless spoken to. I had to change. I had to overcome my fear of being yelled at. I found my voice. We ended up implementing a Veteran Owned and Operated strategy, and the business took off. All of the sudden we had more business than we could handle. For the next three years I burned the candle at both ends. Success came at a price, and I learned that if you lack the correct systems in place you can easily burn out. I wasn’t sleeping, eating, or spending time with my family. I needed boundaries and I knew I needed them, but with change I had a fear that boundaries and saying no would make it so that people didn’t want to work with us. I hit a critical point where I began to lose my passion for the work itself. I had given too many of my spoons out, didn’t have sufficient boundaries, and was fear stricken to make change. After my realization, came time to implement change, the moment I demanded my boundaries to be respected was the moment I realized I have more to offer.
I stepped back from the business and took a break. I focused on activities that felt good to do, helping others in various ways in their lives. I rediscovered a passion in helping others to create the life of their dreams, help them create boundaries, facilitate their voice, and give them the tools to find love in themselves. In reality I knew this was always my primary focus as I obtained my degree in Psychology and minored in Business Administration while I was in college and continued my education while in the Marine Corps getting various certifications in counseling, coaching, and communication. I dove into my education and pulled out the fundamentals business with psychological factors. I learned the more technical aspects of helping others through their trying times. I saw that it has huge potential, especially with those needing to expand their businesses and or their personal growth. I knew I could help because I was in their shoes at one point, I had to come up with alternative methods to find funding for growth both personally and for the business. I was excited by just the idea of giving other business owners options. Help discover their goals. I knew this was the next piece of my journey. It was no longer my journey, it was my destination- my calling.
Meanwhile my Cyber Security company continued to grow. As the business grew, it lost its innocence and customer focus. It had turned into a machine, and that just is not who I am, I enjoy the personal touch. I knew going forward this was no longer my path I wanted to do day to day. I took another step back to assess what I wanted to do, and how I wanted to do it. I wanted to create a business built on integrity, candor, and transparency. Finding the best solution for my clients, making good, turn into great, was where I wanted to spend my time. I finally got to a point where it was time for me to switch gears, and turn my passion into a true business of helping others. I knew I could show them to dig beneath the surface of their thoughts and beliefs, help them understand internal obstacles to their success and well-being.
During this process I began to discover new personal values, some of which I was completely unaware of, this ignited my passion even further. I took all the resources and knowledge I had gained over my career and applied it to my Lending services. I help people take out the guesswork of life and ask them the questions needed to get them to the next step in their path. A lot of people feel like they are drowning when they are dipping their toes into the Lending world. I help my clients find the relief they need so they can outsource appropriately. I help my clients see alternative solutions when they have lost their passion and give them the tools to find passion again. I help clients access and mitigate risk by leveraging their assets. I ask a series of thought provoking questions to discover their why. I help clients to facilitate positive affirmations and intentions. I help clients come up with goals and an action plan so that they begin to feel organized and have clearer paths. I help to guide them during this process. This allows a strong foundation for my clients to begin their journey to financial freedom. This also allows my clients to become confident, find desire, put work into the areas of their lives that they want to and not having empty energy drainers, most of the time they also produce more income and it happens fast, they put themselves first, they prosper in relationships, business growth and self love. I take the overwhelm out of the equation, and help create a fundamental strategy that lets my clients do what they do best without the daunting cloud over their heads.
I started teaching business owners, executives, entrepreneurs and shareholders how they can do the same. I watched their lives change for the better too! I have since made a commitment to dedicate the rest of my professional life to helping other business owners, executives, entrepreneurs, and shareholders create the life they design. They are empowered by the power they have all had within their own portfolio. I also have made it my life's mission to give back a portion of my salary and commission to a charity that helps small business owners succeed.
