Interview feedback

Hi All, I am not a natural blogger so I will keep this short and sweet.

One of my frustrations with recruitment is feedback, or the lack of it.

We send many hopeful applicants along to interviews and sometimes the interview process is arduous and drawn out. Unfortunately, not every candidate we send for interview gets the job (if only).

What we find frustrating is where we do not get any feedback as to why the candidate was not successful. We are continually chased sometimes by candidates who understandably want to know why and where they went wrong so that they can address this for future interviews.

If you are a hiring manager and conduct interviews.  Could I urge you to feed back to your HR contact or if you handle the interviews directly, feedback to your head hunter/consultant? I know people are busy and the interview process is sometimes just another interview but  if you make this your policy and ensure people are given good feedback, it would be appreciated by everyone involved in the interview process and it looks so much more professional. All the best, Dave

Every companies recruiting employees according to reference instead of talent, So they don,t wanna send any feedback for the unsuccessful candidates.

Completely agree Dave. As an HR resourcing manager I always look to secure feedback for candidates who have taken the time and trouble to apply for posts that we advertise.
