Interview With Elvir (Google Ads Strategist)

Interview With Elvir (Google Ads Strategist)

1) Where were you born and raised? Also tell us something unique about yourself.

Born and raised in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina. On a personal level, what stands out about me is my combination of ambition and groundedness. While I’m driven to succeed in a competitive field like Google Ads, I also prioritize maintaining balance in my life.

2) What got you interested in marketing and what was your journey?

The funny thing is, I switched careers to get away from dealing with clients. I spent a long time in the graphic design field, where my attention to detail and perfectionism became overwhelming. Most clients didn’t recognize that, and I couldn’t charge what my work was truly worth. So, I decided to quit, bought an online course in Digital Marketing, and dove headfirst into Google Ads. Just 30 days later, I landed a job at a Google Ads agency!

3) What skills and industry do you specialize in?

Everything Google Ads-related. Currently, I work with both lead generation and e-commerce, across any industry that presents a challenge and allows me to grow and showcase my expertise. I've gained experience in various sectors, including law firms, e-commerce, solar power, hospitality, service-based businesses, fintech, and more.

4) What is your best soft skill?

I need to highlight more than just one: Adaptability, Attention to Detail, and Teamwork (big shoutout to my Clickem team!)

5) What softwares and tools do you use regularly?

Oh wow, a lot! I regularly use ChatGPT, Perplexity, Asana, Slack, and pretty much all of the Google tools, including GMC, GTM, and GA4. I also work with Unbounce, WhatConverts, and other similar tools.

6) What are your goals for the next year and into the future?

My primary goal is to continue growing as a PPC expert, constantly refining my skills. I also want to help my team grow and succeed together, fostering a collaborative environment where we all elevate each other. Additionally, I plan to strengthen my connections within the industry and, of course, improve my Call of Duty skills, haha!

7) What has been the hardest thing you dealt with in your career path?

The hardest thing I've dealt with in my career path was stepping out of my comfort zone when I made the switch from graphic design to digital marketing. It was a big leap, but one that paid off. Another challenge has been dealing with burnouts. It's still tough for me when I feel stuck, but each time I face it, I get better at managing and overcoming it.

8) What is the biggest mistake you made that you want others to avoid?

The biggest mistake I made was staying stuck in my comfort zone for too long. If you don’t like what you’re doing, don’t settle—try something else. Everyone has the ability to learn and grow, as long as they’re willing to put in the effort.

9) Who are your favorite people in the industry that you follow?

I have to start by mentioning my mentor and friend, Mirza La?evi?, and of course, my team. I also want to recognize Isaac Rudansky, Kirk Williams, Miles McNair, Adrian Dekker, Dylan Hey, Boris Beceric, Tomasz Abbott-Wieczorek and many others.

10) Who has had the biggest influence on your career to date?

I’m pretty stubborn, so while I listen to everyone, I ultimately choose my own path, haha. That said, a lot of writers have had a big influence on me, including Ryan Holiday, James Clear, Tim Ferriss, and others. Their work has shaped my thinking and approach to both personal growth and my career.

11) What has been your favorite course that you taken and why?

The Ultimate 2024 Google Ads Training: Profit with Pay Per Click by Isaac Rudansky is a must-take course for anyone getting into Google Ads. I highly recommend it to beginners in the field. It covers everything, and honestly, I learned most of what I know from this course.

12) What would you tell yourself or someone who is just starting out in marketing?

Watch the course The Ultimate 2024 Google Ads Training: Profit with Pay Per Click by Isaac Rudansky, haha. In addition to the course, be persistent, find a mentor, and make the most of the free knowledge available on LinkedIn by connecting with and following PPC experts.

13) If the entire world was listening to you, what would you have to say?

Simple as: Buy Now, Order Now, Get A Quote, Contact Us, Get A Free Demo, haha!

14) Where can we find you?

I'm active on Linkedin and here is my website https://clickem.io/.
